FOR LEE RESIDENTS 60 OR OLDER a hands off (no physical help)
Transportation is available through two programs

The Council on Aging In-Town Transportation For local shopping, errands, to Senior Center and LOCAL MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS is TUESDAY AND THURSDAY . The first pick up time will be 9:00 and the last drop-off time will be 1:30
A $.50 DONATION TO THE DRIVER EACH WAY WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

MEDICAL ONLY TRANSPORTATION
Transportation for OUT-OF-TOWN, PITTAFIELD, LENOX, GT.BARRINGTON AND STOCKBRIDGE, medical appointments is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Your appointment must be between the hours of 9:00 and 11:30A.M.
Transportation request must be scheduled at LEAST 48 hours in advance. Please call 243-5545 to schedule your ride. We will do our best to accommodate same day Emergency medical appointments.
In order to serve you better, when making a reservation for transportation , please DO NOT
leave your requests on the answering machine, just your name and number. We will return your call.

Too often people don’t apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps because they don’t realize they are eligible. You may be eligible for SNAP even if you are earning an income from wages, Social Security, SSI, and Retirement or have money in the bank. You could be eligible if you own a home or a car.
Verifications Needed to Apply for SNAP: *Proof of Identity: License or birth certificate, *Social Security Number, * Proof that you live in Massachusetts: driver’s license. Or utility bill, or tax forms. APPLICATION ARE AVAILABLE AT THE LEE COUNCIL ON AGING 243-5545
